Best of the West on Route 66 Coming to Kingman
March 13, 2015 (Kingman, AZ) Thanks to the hard work,
dedication and commitment of the City of Kingman, local organizations, sponsors and the citizens of Kingman the
2014 International Route 66 Festival was a huge success. There were more than 8,000 attendees that visited
Kingman from 32 states and 24 countries during the three day event.
Because of that remarkable success a committee was formed to
start an annual Kingman Festival – called Best of the West on Route 66 September 25th – 27th! Many of the key
people, groups and organizations that made last year’s festival so successful have committed to bring this new
annual event to Kingman. In collaboration with the Kingsmen and Mohave County Fairgrounds, the event will
provide all of the elements that tourists and locals love about our community – cars and cowboys!
Car shows, entertainment and vendors in Locomotive Park will be
added to the mix of local favorites - the Andy Devine Days Parade, Rodeo and 100 Club Dinner. The opening
ceremony will be Friday evening at Locomotive Park and new inductions to the Route 66 Walk of Fame will be held
Saturday afternoon. The Route 66 Authors, Artists & Collectors will return to share their knowledge and
treasures of Route 66 with you.
Businesses interested in participating in the event should call
